Emerson Network Power appoints A S Prasad to head product and marketing in India

Wednesday, February 05, 2014: Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR) and a global leader in protecting and optimizing critical infrastructure, today announced the appointment of Dr. A S Prasad as the general manager for the Indian product and marketing group.

Prasad will lead the products and marketing team, and continue to strengthen the product planning and marketing in India. He will be responsible for growth initiatives through marketing.

Commenting on the appointment, Sunil Khanna, president and managing director for Emerson Network Power in India said, “Prasad brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in the energy sector. Given his track record in successfully essaying important roles in developing solutions for industrial customers, he is well positioned to help us grow our business”.

Prior to joining Emerson Network Power, Prasad was previously with Emerson Process Management and served as director, Solutions Business. With 20 years of experience in power and petrochemical business, he has held key positions in companies such as Asea Brown Boveri Limited and Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited.

Prasad holds a degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram and a PhD in Management from University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun.
