To empower Indian startups, Ansys Software and DST-backed PSG-STEP are going to launch a new R&D centre in Coimbatore, providing access to advanced simulation tools and foster innovations.
PSG Science and Technology Entrepreneurial Park (PSG-STEP), a technology incubator backed by the Government of India’s Department of Science and Technology (DST), has signed a deal with Ansys Software to empower aspiring Indian startups with engineering simulation solutions.
Furthermore, the collaboration will establish an R&D facility named ‘Ansys Simulation Center of Excellence’ at PSG-STEP in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, to grant early-stage tech ventures and MSMEs access to simulation tools and resources.
Providing essential support to selected incubatees, including mentorship, infrastructure, and networking opportunities, this partnership aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurial excellence in India’s startup lanscape.
Mike Yeager, Ansys’s Area Vice President for India and Japan, stated, “Ansys is dedicated to developing expertise that aligns with the Make in India vision. Our software has enabled startups and organisations worldwide to move from concept to market-ready products.”
Murali Pullela, Director of Sales at Ansys, described the MoU as a significant step in making advanced simulation technology accessible to incubatees. He emphasised that the centre will empower entrepreneurs to expedite product development and reduce costs.
Dr. K Prakasan, Principal of PSG College of Technology and Vice Chairman of PSG-STEP, called the collaboration a transformative opportunity for incubatees and MSMEs.
With over 50 years of experience, Ansys engineering simulation software has empowered innovators across various industries to tackle complex challenges.
