Partnership between Fibocom and Kaynes Technologies is set to accelerate manufacturing of IoT modules in India.
Fibocom has announced a manufacturing agreement with Kaynes Technology to produce wireless communication modules in India. The deal brings Fibicomproduct design and Kaynes manufacturing capabilities.
The facilities, located in Karnataka, Hyderabad, and Gujarat, are equipped with SMT lines, automated testing, and assembly systems. By moving manufacturing to India, the companies aim to reduce dependency on imports, shorten lead times.
“This partnership is a statement of intent, Fibocom is here not just to sell, but to build, invest, and grow with India,” said Ragin Kallanmar Thodikai, Country Sales Manager, India, Fibocom. “We are proud to contribute to a future where intelligent connectivity is Made in India and trusted worldwide.“
For Indian OEMs, particularly in the automotive sector, the partnership provides access to 4G, 5G, LPWA, and GNSS modules. This combination enables faster integration of connectivity into vehicles and supports localisation requirements for supply chains.
System integrators in industrial automation and telecom can now source modules domestically, reducing costs and delivery timelines for large-scale IoT deployments.
Kaynes Technology will provide its expertise in manufacturing and supply chain integration, while Fibocom contributes product design and IP. Together, the companies create an option for distributors and partners to expand their catalogues with locally manufactured IoT hardware that meets both Indian regulatory requirements and international specifications.
