FLIR launches new series of test and measurement equipments

FLIR Systems Australia has reportedly announced more scope in thermal imaging technology, with the launch of its new test and measurement equipments. The new equipments promote latest electrical meters, digital multimeters, power clamp meters, multifunctional clamp meters, NCV detectors, moisture meters and videoscopes.

flirThursday, March 20, 2014: FLIR systems claims that the new thermal imaging products bring quality, accuracy, reliability, and durability. The equipments are further engineered to include advanced diagnostics, enhanced productivity, and increased connectivity.

The FLIR VS70 comes with intuitive handset control, and its camera can deliver clear video and images that can fit in a 14.4-cm (5.7-inch) LCD display. It comes with a wide-angle (180 degree) and standard (90 degree) camera views, SD card storage of video, image and audio files, a six-to-eight hour battery life, USB port, and a headset.

Versatile moisture meter

The FLIR MR77 moisture meter has ‘pinless sensor’ with a wired pin probe for readings up to 1.9-cm (0.75-inch) below the surface. It further has a spot IR thermometer with laser pointer, field-replaceable temperature/humidity sensor, Bluetooth connectivity to Android, and is integrated with METERLiNK-enabled FLIR IR cameras.

Electrical meters

FLIR has brought out three new electrical meters, dubbed as the FLIR DM93, FLIR CM83, and FLIR CM78. All meters come with large LCD displays, bright dual-LED worklights, and Bluetooth connectivity to Android. For the Apple devices, FLIR Tools Mobile app is listed. They are integrated with METERLiNK-enabled FLIR thermal cameras .

Streamline VFD troubleshooting

The FLIR DM93 digital multimeter is designed with VFD filtering and shielding to reduce noisy signals that are found in VFD-controlled equipment. It is added with LoZ Mode, and Continuous Data Recording.

Simplify power and VFD analysis

This FLIR CM83 industrial power clamp meter comes with above features, and further includes Harmonics Mode to find noise from different electrical draws, Phase Rotation, and Inrush Current.

NCV detector plus worklight

The FLIR VP50 is a compact, CAT IV-rated NCV detector with LED light. It also has a dual-LED convenience light with vibration feedback, and multi-coloured LED alarms, and high/low sensitivity that works with industrial equipment and low-voltage systems.

Multifunctional Clamp Meter

The FLIR CM78 is a 1000A clamp meter. It functions as both True RMS digital multimeter and non-contact clamp meter with IR thermometer with laser spot, and a Type K thermocouple. It is preferred to be used on high-powered equipment, and can take AC/DC readings up to 1000A or 1000V.
