As the government has banned importing drones, Trishul aims to add to homegrown national security.
Garuda Aerospace, Indian drone-tech firm, has launched the Trishul Border Patrol Surveillance Drone, aimed at enhancing surveillance and monitoring for border security forces. The drone is designed to manage natural disasters, emergencies, and traffic situations with its advanced real-time imaging capabilities.
Trishul offers wide-angle visibility, allowing ground control teams to make informed decisions quickly. It is equipped with high-definition and infrared cameras, LIDAR, and radar, enabling comprehensive data collection on crowd density, movement patterns, speed, safety threats, and potential disturbances.
Under its Founder and CEO Agnishwar Jayaprakash’s leadership, Garuda Aerospace has expanded its portfolio to include various drones for different applications, such as Kisan Drones for agriculture, Surya for solar panel cleaning, and Vriksh Vihaan for seed dropping. The company’s growth has been supported by cricket legend and brand ambassador Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
In line with India’s efforts to nurture its drone industry, the government has implemented restrictions on the import of commercial drones to encourage domestic production and innovation. Garuda Aerospace’s Trishul contributes to the potential of India’s homegrown technology to meet critical national security and emergency management needs, marking a significant advancement for the country’s drone industry.
