GE lighting’s debuts innovative commercial LED products via vertical lighting solutions at 2013 guangzhou lighting fair

Monday, June 10, 2013: GE Lighting today launched two commercial LED products – Albeo ABHX-series and Lumination EL series – in Asia at the 18th Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition. The Albeo ABHX series LED High Bay lighting fixture sets a new performance benchmark for areas with high ceilings while the Lumination EL series LED Luminaire represents an unconventional design which slashes energy costs at the same time. These two new products will be available in China, Australia and South East Asia in Q4 2013. These latest additions to GE’s extensive line of innovative and energy-efficient commercial lighting solutions will help to further fulfill business owners’ unique lighting needs.

“We stand at the precipice of a sea change in the lighting industry with the LED lighting market leading an unprecedented worldwide growth. Globally, the potential is huge in the LED lighting industry and the growth in Asia has been even more dramatic,” said Ms. Jane Lo, GM of Asia Product Management, GE Lighting Asia. “Given the innovative energy saving features and high degree of adaptability for different commercial environments, we anticipate that the two new LED products that we are launching today will be popular solutions for the local Asia market.”

Albeo ABHX-Series LED High Bay lighting fixture ideal for warehouse and industrial lighting
Offering an energy-efficient lighting solution for warehouses, industrial spaces and other commercial settings with high ceilings, GE’s new Albeo ABHX-Series LED High Bay lighting fixture provides bright, long-lasting light with cost-saving advantages. This is a product of GE Lighting’s recent acquisition of Albeo Technologies.

The Albeo ABHX-Series LED High Bay lighting fixture can replace a range of legacy high bay lighting systems—250-watt to 1500-watt high-intensity discharge (HID) and four- to eight-lamp T5/T8 high-intensity fluorescent lighting. Albeo ABHX-series LED Luminaire utilizes innovative heat-sinking and cutting-edge LED technology to deliver a wide range of light outputs. Its life is rated for 100,000 hours at L70, significantly diminishing maintenance needs in areas that are difficult to reach and where swapping bulbs often requires special equipment and trained personnel.
The Albeo ABHX-Series was recently recognized in the 2013 Next Generation Luminaires™ Solid-State Lighting Design Competition, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America and the International Association of Lighting Designers. The ABHX-Series also earned a 2013 Architectural SSL Magazine Product Innovation Award as well as one of the ALIGTHING Top 10 Products Award by the host of the 2013 Guangzhou Lighting Fair.

Lumination EL Series LED Luminaire solution for retail and office spaces
With the new Lumination™ EL Series LED Luminaire, GE continues to lead the way to inspired indoor spaces with a never-before-seen LED lighting technology option. The new Lumination EL Series LED Luminaire is an ultra-thin suspended fixture designed for retail and office spaces. When switched on, the Lumination EL Series LED Suspended Luminaire produces an even glow, and when off appears nearly transparent with individual LED diodes hidden inside the frame so as not to detract from the look of the environment where it is installed. The uniformly illuminated LED blade is suspended from the ceiling and powered with GE’s Intrinsx Optical Technology that maximizes the performance, control and efficiency of each LED diode – directing otherwise wasted light to where it is needed.

Lumination EL Series LED Luminaires offer a multitude of benefits compared to traditional fluorescent and halogen lighting, including improved energy efficiency, longer life and high-quality color consistency. Rated for 50,000 hours, the LED fixtures are fully dimmable and can be linked to sensors and controlled according to the level of natural light present to provide the best possible energy savings. Lumination EL series is also recognized in the 2013 Next Generation Luminaires™ .

Besides the newly unveiled LED products for Asia, GE Lighting also demonstrated the seamless application of its comprehensive solutions for Hotel, Industrial, Office, Roadway, Supermarket, Sports and Fast Fashion verticals at the exhibition. A series of cutting-edge products lies in the heart of those solutions, which includes LED Tetra miniMax, EvolveTM Module Road Way R250, LED Downlight and Infusion LED Module etc.

You are welcome to visit the future of lighting at the GE booth during the Guangzhou Lighting Fair.
