GlacialLight introduces wall-mounted LED luminaires

Monday, June 03, 2013: GlacialLight, a division of the Taiwanese technology manufacturer, GlacialTech Inc., today announces its first wall-mounted LED luminaires for outdoor applications. The three new wall-mounted luminaires include the standard 11.5W version GL-WL1012 and the two 12.5W versions with PIR sensors: GL-WL1012SH and GL-WL1012SL.
All three of the wall-mounted luminaires can be mounted and fixed on the ceiling or wall. The minimalistic single-unit design ensures both an aesthetically pleasing look as well as an easy and safe installation. The adjustable 180 degree mounting latch enables the mounting of the luminaire by locking the latch to the body of the light fixture. As the lights do not need to be assembled at location, possible water damage can also be prevented.

The passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor of GL-WL1012SH and GL-WL1012SL lowers energy bills and reduces light pollution by preventing unnecessary use of lighting and power. The 360œ sensor with a reaction time of 0.6 to 1.5 m/s ensures that the luminaire switches on the instance when movement is detected.

The small size of the light fixtures: GL-WL1012 (æ 252 x 96mm); GL-WL1012SH and GL-WL1012SL (æ 252 x 105mm), enables the lights to be installed in almost any outdoor location, including: parks, verandas, walls and roof edges. Further, the light weight of the luminaires: GL-WL1012 (1.2Kg); GL-WL1012SH and GL-WL1012SL (1.25Kg), means that the lights can be installed on most surfaces.

The three luminaires have a premium aluminum compression-molded surface, which makes the lights attractive elements in the design of building exteriors. The lights also provide a colored filter visual effect, which provides a visually pleasing atmospheric effect on the surface that the lights are mounted on. The IP65 rated luminaire casing of GL-WL1012 and the IP54 rated casing of GL-WL1012SH and GL-WL1012SL protect the lights from both dust and water damage in outdoor applications. All of the lights are high temperature resistant and are protected from UV radiation by their polycarbonate (PC) casing.

Two color temperature variants of the lights are available. The lights provide illumination with a 105œ beam angle. GL-WL1012 accepts a voltage of 100-240V AC; GL-WL1012SH that of 200-240V AC; and GL-WL1012SL that of 100-120V AC.
