HFCL Bags $244 Million Export Order for Optical Fibre Cables

HFCL wins a ₹2,329 crore overseas order, adding multi-year revenue visibility to its optical fibre cable business.

Indian telecom equipment maker HFCL has secured an export order worth $244 million (around ₹2,329 crore) from a global multinational corporation for the supply of optical fibre cables (OFC).

The three-year supply agreement will run until December 2029, with deliveries to be made through HFCL’s overseas wholly owned subsidiary. The company has not disclosed the identity of the customer.

According to HFCL’s regulatory filing, the agreement covers the supply of high-quality, high-fibre-count optical fibre cables. The contract is estimated to generate total revenue of around $244 million over its tenure.

The order adds to HFCL’s international business and strengthens its position in the global optical fibre cable market, particularly in the high-fibre-count segment.

HFCL has been expanding its presence in global telecom infrastructure markets as demand for optical fibre rises with the deployment of high-speed broadband, 5G networks, and data infrastructure.

The latest contract also provides the company with multi-year export visibility, with supplies scheduled to continue through December 2029.
