Through a local partnership, Hisense has entered Pakistan, intensifying competition as global brands expand across the fast-growing South Asian region.
Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer Hisense has launched operations in Pakistan through a partnership with local distributor TechSirat, marking its entry into the country’s growing electronics and appliance market.
The company plans to offer a range of products, including smart televisions, refrigerators, air conditioners and other home appliances. The move is aimed at expanding Hisense’s relevance in South Asia and strengthening its presence in emerging markets.
Meanwhile, India’s neighbour, Pakistan’s consumer electronics sector has witnessed increasing demand for connected devices and smart home products in recent years. The arrival of another global brand is expected to add competition in the television and appliance sectors while giving consumers access to a wider range of products.
Hisense is among the world’s leading television manufacturers and has operations across several international markets. The company has expanded its presence globally through local partnerships and distribution networks, enabling it to reach new customer bases across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America.
It is in direct competition with its counterpart from China, TCL Electronics Holdings Limited, who, in March 2026, signed a binding agreement with Sony, establishing a new company called BRAVIA Inc.. The joint venture, with TCL holding a 51% stake, will take over Sony’s global home entertainment business, including TVs, home audio products, projectors, and professional displays.
At the same time, for the electronics industry, Hisense’s advent into Pakistan highlights the continued interest of international brands in the Indian subcontinent.
Growing demand for consumer technology, together with expanding retail and distribution channels, has encouraged manufacturers to strengthen and improve their regional presence.
