Friday, May 30, 2014: Fortune 100 company Honeywell has appointed a new president for its Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS) division. According to reports, 30-year-old veteran Vimal Kapur will be taking over as the president of the HPS segment of the company. HPS is the arm of the company that is responsible for supplying automation control, services and instrumentation to process manufacturers in the refining, oil and gas, petrochemicals, pulp, minerals, metals and mining industries.
According to reports, Kapur has been a part of Honeywell for over 25 years. In addition, he has also been employed in other key positions within the company. Kapur has reportedly been the vice president of Global Marketing and Strategy for HPS and the managing director for Honeywell Automation India Limited.
Right before he was appointed the president of HPS, Kapur held the position of vice president/general manager of the Advance Solutions segment of the HPS business.
He graduated in Electronics Engineering from the Thapar Institute of Engineering in India with a specialisation in instrumentation. In addition, he also has Six Sigma certifications for DMAIC and Growth. He will be located in Houston, Texas.
