HMIL currently operates 183 DC fast-charging stations across 105 cities and is scaling up its infrastructure to support the next phase of EV adoption.
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has expanded access to more than 30,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging points across India through its myHyundai app, creating one of the country’s largest integrated charging networks available through a single digital platform.
The network has been developed through partnerships with multiple charge point operators (CPOs) and service providers. The app enables EV users to locate charging stations, navigate to them, make advance bookings and complete digital payments. The charging network is accessible to EV owners across brands.
According to HMIL, the platform provides access to charging facilities within an average radius of 25 km across the country, supporting long-distance travel routes including Delhi-Gurugram-Jaipur, Mumbai-Pune-Bengaluru, Mumbai-Ratnagiri-Goa, Chennai-Vellore-Bengaluru and Hyderabad-Kurnool-Bengaluru.
Alongside its partnerships with external CPOs, HMIL is expanding its own public fast-charging infrastructure. The company currently operates 183 DC fast-charging stations across 105 cities and plans to increase this number to 600 stations by 2030. The network will be expanded across key cities, highways and Hyundai dealerships.
HMIL currently offers DC fast-charging solutions with capacities ranging from 60kW to 240kW. Its charging stations are open to EV users across vehicle brands.
The company said more than 300,000 EV users accessed its proprietary charging services through the myHyundai app between January 2023 and June 2026. The infrastructure has delivered more than 5 million kWh of energy and helped avoid approximately 3.5 million kg of carbon dioxide emissions, according to HMIL.
The company said its charging stations are located at prominent city and highway locations, often near restaurants and other amenities to improve the overall charging experience.
HMIL Managing Director and CEO Tarun Garg said the company plans to more than triple its proprietary DC fast-charging network by 2030 as it works to support wider EV adoption in India.
Hyundai Motor India is also preparing to enter the mass-market EV segment with the launch of an electric SUV during the current financial year.
