Blending academic rigour with real-world skills for tomorrow’s innovators, IIT Roorkee and Scaler unveil an advanced AI programme to fuel India’s tech future.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee and tech education firm Scaler have joined forces to launch an advanced AI engineering programme, designed to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in artificial intelligence and related fields.
The initiative, led by IIT Roorkee’s Continuing Education Centre (CEC), focuses on developing industry-ready talent across roles such as data scientists, AI engineers, DevOps engineers, and software developers. The programme combines academic insight with real-world applications, tailored for tech and non-tech professionals.
“This partnership with Scaler represents a strategic step towards shaping the future of technical education by combining academic depth with industry-driven innovation,” said Professor Kaushik Ghosh, Coordinator, CEC, IIT Roorkee.
The course curriculum, created in collaboration with IIT faculty and industry experts, covers machine learning, deep learning, and the use of large language models (LLMs). Participants will receive hands-on training with tools such as Copilot and Cursor and explore AI applications in sectors like healthcare, focusing on areas such as diagnosis and drug discovery.
Delivered through live online sessions and project-based learning, the two-month programme includes a two-day campus immersion at IIT Roorkee, offering access to research labs and networking with peers and industry leaders.
Upon completion, learners will earn a joint certificate from IIT Roorkee and Scaler, enhancing their professional credentials and supporting career transitions in AI-related roles.
