India’s electronics and technology sectors gets a spotlight as the Vice President of India releases new volumes of PM Modi’s speeches, highlighting India’s self-reliance goals.
India’s push for self-reliance in electronics, defence, and key technology sectors was highlighted by Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan during the release of two volumes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s selected speeches.
The compilations, titled Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas, cover June 2022–May 2023 and June 2023–May 2024 and were published by the Publications Division of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The Vice President said that the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision has enabled India to strengthen its electronics and technology base, alongside sectors such as space and defence. He noted that self-reliance in these areas supports broader social development, including education, healthcare, clean energy, and poverty reduction. Over the past decade, more than 250 million people have moved out of poverty, he added.
There were other dignitaries present at the event too. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw described the Prime Minister’s governance approach as transformative, emphasising its inclusive and research-driven framework.
The 4th volume features 88 speeches in 11 sections covering topics such as India’s global position, Aatmanirbhar Bharat, governance, and citizen empowerment. The 5th volume includes 91 speeches spanning 11 sections, addressing the G20, women’s empowerment, infrastructure, technology, and international engagement.
Sanjay Jaju, Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, noted that the volumes provide authentic reference material on India’s policy approach and governance model. Officials from the Publications Division and Press Information Bureau attended the release.
