Combining hardware and software expertise to support the automotive industry’s shift toward safe, software-defined systems, IIL boosts its cooperation with Vayavya Labs.
Indication Instruments Ltd (IIL) has announced a deeper partnership with Vayavya Labs Pvt Ltd, upholding its focus on next-generation automotive technologies and software-defined systems.
The expanded alliance combines Vayavya Labs’ expertise in automotive software, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), functional safety, cybersecurity, and virtualised electronic control units (ECUs) with IIL’s established portfolio of instrument clusters and sensors.
Together, the companies plan to strengthen solution development and customer engagement, particularly with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier‑1 suppliers in India and international markets.
R.K. Patil, CEO of Vayavya Labs, said the alignment would enable greater investment in engineering capabilities and next-generation platforms.
“It also allows us to engage more meaningfully with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers as the industry moves toward increasingly software-led architectures,” he said.
Vishal Lalani, Managing Director of Indication Instruments Ltd., described the alliance as part of IIL’s long-term strategy to build strength in areas such as ADAS, functional safety, cybersecurity, and virtualised ECU development.
He emphasised further, “This alliance reflects our conviction in the direction the automotive industry is heading and the importance of building strength in safety-critical, software-driven systems.”
The partnership is expected to support the automotive sector’s shift towards integrated, software-defined systems, enabling closer customer engagement and adaptability to evolving industry needs.
Originating from early angel investments by IIL promoters in Vayavya Labs, the partnership has matured following Vayavya’s recent restructuring into a consolidated effort focused on advancing safety-critical, software-driven architectures.
