This partnership has been ongoing since 2013 and revolves around the joint development of advanced semiconductor technology and products catering to the automotive, industrial, and security sectors. A pivotal aspect of this collaboration is the integration of a highly reliable embedded non-volatile memory (eNVM) technology solution. This solution is uniquely tailored to facilitate mission-critical applications within the automotive sphere, adhering to the stringent safety and security standards mandated for next-generation vehicle systems. Infineon’s flagship microcontroller series, AURIX, has been at the forefront of steering the industry towards the era of autonomous, connected, and electrified vehicles.

Dr. Rutger Wijburg, Chief Operations Officer of Infineon, remarked on the significance of this long-term agreement, emphasizing the company’s commitment to fortifying the semiconductor supply chain that drives decarbonization and digitalization. As the demand for automotive applications continues to surge, Infineon’s objective is to provide top-notch microcontrollers endowed with enhanced connectivity, advanced safety features, and robust security measures. AURIX microcontrollers are positioned as a pivotal component in ensuring the reliability of electronics, particularly as the automotive landscape evolves towards an era of all-electric, all-connected, user-centric, and autonomous vehicles.
