Boosting eco-friendly production of solar PV cells, INOXAP kicks off industrial gas supply for ReNew’s solar plant in Gujarat, claiming to drive India’s clean energy transition with advanced logistics.
Industrial gas supplier INOX Air Products (INOXAP) has begun supplying electronics industry specific gases to ReNew’s solar PV cell manufacturing plant in Dholera, Gujarat. Under a long-term contract, INOXAP will provide critical gases like nitrous oxide, ammonia, and silane, supported by specialised apparatus like ISO containers and tube trailers to meet the quality and operational requirements of the facility.
The company noted that this would also ensure a robust supply chain for ReNew Photovoltaics. The use of the advanced ISO containers and trailers in the logistics network will ensure the safe and efficient delivery of gases, contributing to eco-friendly solar cell manufacturing.
Additionally, the infrastructure will reduce ReNew’s carbon footprint and lower the cost per watt of solar energy at its Dholera manufacturing unit.
ReNew’s chief financial officer, Kailash Vaswani, stressed the importance of this collaboration in setting an industry standard for efficient, sustainable solar PV cell production, reinforcing the company’s role in India’s clean energy drive.
Siddharth Jain, INOXAP’s managing director, highlighted the company’s support for India’s energy transition efforts by offering advanced gas solutions for solar energy production. He mentioned about their alignment with global sustainability goals, aiming to reduce CO2 emissions and foster green energy in India.
