The company has also built country’s largest single location solar farm.
Jakson Power Solutions has reportedly set up its first solar project at Jodhpur in Rajasthan. The 20 MW worth solar plant has been installed at an investment of Rs 2 billion under India’s Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission Phase 1 Batch 2 projects.
Apart from the laurel of setting up first solar plant, the company has also signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with NVVN (NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited) for a duration of 25 years for the project.
The installed power plant has been built on 100 acres of land, using high efficiency solar crystalline technology. It is recognised as the largest single location solar farm in India on this technology. The company expected to generate employment for around 100 people with the project, which has been executed within 10 months since the work on plant started.
With an eye on the future in the state, Jakson has bought another 250 acres of land site, where a solar farm will be set-up to generate 100 MW of capacity in next 3 years. Jakson Power Solutions EPC, an arm of Jakson Power Solutions has executed EPC contracts for a total of 40 MW solar plant till date.
