KIC Appoints Jos Timmermans as R&D Manager

The company expects Timmermans’ leadership to support the continued development of solutions aimed at enhancing manufacturing performance

KIC, a global provider of thermal process optimization and automated profiling solutions with over 25,000 systems installed worldwide, has appointed Jos Timmermans as its new Research & Development Manager, effective July 20, 2026.

In his new role, Timmermans will lead KIC’s research and development initiatives, focusing on project execution, cross-functional collaboration, and the acceleration of next-generation solutions for electronics manufacturing.

Timmermans brings more than two decades of engineering leadership experience across vehicle electrification, battery systems, industrial charging solutions, and advanced testing technologies. His expertise spans engineering management, product innovation, prototype development, testing, commercialization, and patented technology development across multiple industries.

“We’re excited to welcome Jos to the KIC team,” said Philip Kazmierowicz, President of KIC. “As KIC continues to invest in new technologies and expand our product portfolio, Jos brings the leadership and experience to strengthen project execution, foster collaboration across our engineering organization, and accelerate innovation in automatic profiling and thermal process intelligence.”

At KIC, Timmermans will oversee engineering projects from concept through commercialisation, with a focus on ensuring timely execution and supporting collaboration across development teams. The company said his leadership will help advance technologies that enable electronics manufacturers to improve quality, productivity, traceability, and process control.

“I am excited to join KIC at such an exciting time in the company’s growth,” said Timmermans. “KIC has built an outstanding reputation for innovation in thermal process technologies, and I look forward to working with the team to develop solutions that help our customers improve quality, efficiency, and manufacturing performance while building the next generation of KIC products.”

As electronics manufacturing continues to evolve, KIC said it remains committed to delivering technologies that help manufacturers optimise thermal processes and make smarter, data-driven decisions. The company expects Timmermans’ leadership to support the continued development of solutions aimed at enhancing manufacturing performance while building on KIC’s long-standing reputation for innovation.
