KuhlTherm develops precision liquid cooling systems designed to address the increasing thermal demands of AI and GPU-intensive workloads
Ahmedabad-based precision liquid cooling startup KuhlTherm has raised $1.1 million in a seed funding round led by Arkam Ventures to accelerate the development and deployment of its cooling technologies for AI-driven data centres and high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure.
The funding will be used to advance product development, strengthen the company’s R&D and testing capabilities, expand its engineering and business development teams, secure industry certifications, and establish strategic partnerships as it scales its liquid cooling portfolio for AI data centres, hyperscale infrastructure, and other high-density computing environments.
Founded in 2025, KuhlTherm develops precision liquid cooling systems designed to address the increasing thermal demands of AI and GPU-intensive workloads. As data centres transition to higher rack densities, conventional air-cooling systems are becoming less effective in maintaining performance, energy efficiency, and system reliability. The company aims to address these challenges with advanced cooling technologies that remove heat closer to the source while reducing energy consumption.
KuhlTherm’s product portfolio includes Direct-to-Chip liquid cooling, Rear Door Heat Exchangers (RDHx), immersion cooling systems, coolant distribution units (CDUs), manifolds, universal quick disconnects, and NexusFlow OS, its proprietary cooling intelligence platform. The solutions are designed to minimise thermal throttling, improve cooling efficiency, and support next-generation AI and HPC workloads.
The company combines proprietary hardware with software-based monitoring and in-house manufacturing capabilities. It manufactures key components such as RDHx systems, CDUs, manifolds, and universal quick disconnects, while its intellectual property includes patented modular RDHx architecture, hybrid all-in-one cooling systems, and mesh-with-channel Direct-to-Chip cooling designs. The systems are engineered specifically for Indian operating conditions, including local climate, power grid variations, and infrastructure requirements.
Commenting on the investment, Shailesh Bishnoi, Founder and CEO of KuhlTherm, said that the rapid growth of AI infrastructure is pushing data centres beyond the capabilities of conventional air cooling. He noted that the company is developing modular, intelligent liquid cooling systems that enable operators to scale high-performance computing infrastructure more efficiently, reliably, and sustainably.
He added that India is entering a significant data centre expansion phase, making cooling technology a critical factor in improving the long-term efficiency and sustainability of future infrastructure. According to him, KuhlTherm aims to deliver liquid cooling solutions that are engineered for Indian conditions while remaining locally serviceable and cost-effective.
Rahul Chandra, Managing Director at Arkam Ventures, said that the rapid expansion of AI infrastructure is placing increasing pressure on energy and water resources, creating an urgent need for highly efficient cooling technologies. He added that KuhlTherm’s combination of proprietary intellectual property, India-led engineering, and product roadmap for high-density data centres positions it to address growing demand both in India and global AI infrastructure markets.
KuhlTherm is led by a five-member founding team with expertise in thermal engineering, product design, software development, and business strategy. Its technical team includes PhD engineers specialising in simulation, testing, and differential hotspot cooling optimisation for advanced data centre applications.
