LG Electronics India Q1 Revenue Climbs 15.5%, Profit Up 27.2%

Strong premium-product demand helped LG Electronics India grow revenue to Rs 7,233.40 crore and EBITDA to Rs 904 crore in the first quarter.

LG Electronics India reported a 27.20% year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 652.90 crore in Q1 FY27, supported by continued demand for premium consumer electronics and home appliances. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, profit declined 5.75%.

Revenue from operations rose 15.50% YoY to Rs 7,233.40 crore, although it declined 10.18% sequentially. The company attributed the annual growth to strong demand for premium products across categories.

EBITDA increased 26.2% YoY to Rs 904 crore, while the EBITDA margin improved to 12.5% from 11.4% in the year-ago quarter. Profit before tax rose 26.89% YoY to Rs 878.10 crore but fell 5.68% compared with the previous quarter.

Total expenditure increased 14.25% YoY to Rs 6,450 crore. Material costs rose 15.41% to Rs 4,537.10 crore, while employee benefit expenses increased 9.90% to Rs 278.70 crore. Finance costs grew 7.06% to Rs 9.10 crore, and depreciation and amortisation expenses increased 23.95% to Rs 111.80 crore.

The Home Appliances and Air Solutions business generated revenue of Rs 5,577 crore, up 13.6% YoY, while segment EBIT increased 13.8% to Rs 642 crore. Home Entertainment revenue grew 22.3% to Rs 1,657 crore, with segment EBIT jumping 48.5% to Rs 315 crore.

LG Electronics India said premium demand, higher sales volumes, operating leverage and cost discipline supported profitability. The company remains confident about its FY27 growth targets while monitoring geopolitical risks affecting commodities, currencies and supply chains.

For the festive season, LG plans to focus on premium products, the LG Essential range, B2B expansion and exports. Development of its new manufacturing capacity at Sri City is also progressing as planned.
