Moser Baer Solar emerges as the largest solar EPC player in India with 250 MW of installations

Monday,October 21, 2013: Moser Baer Solar Ltd (MBSL), the solar photovoltaic manufacturing and EPC arm of Moser Baer India Ltd, has emerged as the largest solar EPC player in India with more than 250 MW of installations across the country, claims the company. Moser Baer Solar also claims to have emerged as the No. 1 solar company in third-party EPC installations. The company has also emerged as the ‘only brand’ that has provided its own branded solar PV modules to Indian customers in both multi-crystalline and thin film technology.

Commenting on the development, K N Subramaniam, CEO, Moser Baer PV Systems said, “We are indeed excited to be a part of the National Solar Mission and elated that MBSL has scaled new heights in only three years of commencing the EPC business. We have been a technology neutral company and have excelled in all types of installations of multiple technology products. With our global presence in more than 36 countries and as the market leaders in India, we have the technological proficiency along with professional and high level expertise of the design requirements of an individual installation.”

Vivek Chaturvedi, Chief Marketing Officer, Moser Baer Solar said, “We have been a fully integrated company – right from cell manufacturing to the ownership of solar farms. MBSL has made a mark in the solar industry and our brand tagline ‘We get the Sun’ rightly showcases our strength and vision for the solar sector. Our strong pan India presence has helped us in creating a portfolio of services which includes everything from a 3W lantern to a 30MW grid-connected farm. Our EPC team of professionals is highly competent and has relevant understanding of terrains in various regions of the country. Today, MBSL has a wide customer base including PSU’s, offices, industry, telecom, residential and commercial buildings and our executed projects have secured financing from India’s leading financial institutions.”

MBSL has a strong experience in Solar system EPC – both grid-connected and off-grid across multiple technologies.
