CM N. Chandrababu Naidu invited global semiconductor firms to explore investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh, highlighting the state’s investment-friendly policies and manufacturing potential.
Andhra Pradesh is stepping up efforts to attract investments in the semiconductor sector, with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu inviting global chipmakers to explore opportunities in the state.
According to The Economic Times, Naidu made the pitch during the Semicon Ecosystem Roundtable in Singapore, where he described Andhra Pradesh as one of India’s most investment-friendly destinations. He said the state follows a “Speed of Doing Business” approach to support industrial growth and facilitate investments.
“This is the right time for investors to explore opportunities in Andhra Pradesh. I invite industrialists to visit the state within the next 30 days and assess the policies and opportunities available,” Naidu said.
Highlighting the state’s semiconductor ambitions, the chief minister said a semiconductor manufacturing facility would soon be established in the Rayalaseema region. He added that the region offers opportunities in electronics, defence, aerospace, fighter aircraft manufacturing and automobile production.
Representatives from several semiconductor companies attended the roundtable, including GlobalFoundries, NXP, ASMPT, One System Technologies, TechSend Photomask and Aquatech. Discussions focused on strengthening the semiconductor ecosystem and exploring investment opportunities in manufacturing and allied sectors in Andhra Pradesh.
The discussions also reflected growing interest in expanding semiconductor manufacturing capacity in India as the country strengthens its electronics and chipmaking ecosystem.
The initiative is part of Andhra Pradesh’s broader push to position itself as a key destination for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing investments in the country.
