Now startups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of India can boost their businesses in Dubai with the support of Dubai Internet City
The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dubai Internet City (DIC) to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in India boost their network in the Middle East and North African (MENA) regions.
The MoU signed by Ammar al-Malik, Managing Director of DIC and Dubai Outsource City (DOC) and Kamal Agarwala, SME Council Chair, NASSCOM agrees that DIC will help the SMEs under NASSCOM to set up their businesses in the MENA region by extending the required financial and infrastructural support.
Growth in the Middle East
The MoU is considered a step towards expansion of Indian businesses to the middle east region, which is considered as a massive platform of growth in the technology sector. The DIC MD said that Dubai had huge potential and it would provide the required push to the SMEs.
NASSCOM has been exploring the region to tap into partnership opportunities to expand its business. DIC, which already houses several Indian firms like Tech Mahindra, Wipro, and HCL Technologies, will pave business opportunities to startups and SMEs based in India
NASSCOM’s move has come into picture amidst the buzz of strengthening connections between the UAE and India to achieve the target of $ 100 billion by 2020.
