Dixon Technologies has entered into a partnership with Nokia to develop and produce telecommunications equipment, including fixed wireless access points and routers, for the Finnish company. According to a regulatory filing by Dixon, this deal, initially valued at Rs 1,500 crore annually, will be executed by Dixon Electro Appliances, a fully-owned subsidiary, at its Noida facility in Uttar Pradesh.

Atul B. Lall, the vice chairman and managing director of Dixon Technologies, stated that product development is almost complete and they plan to start commercial production between June and July. He anticipates the production of 1.5 to 1.8 million units within this financial year.

Lall further explained that once production increases, they expect to produce between 100,000 and 150,000 units monthly for Fixed Wireless Devices, and an additional 100,000 to 150,000 units monthly for indoor Wi-Fi 5 routers.

He emphasized that the business would start with a yearly value of Rs 1,500 crore, with potential for growth. Moreover, Dixon Technologies’ collaboration with Bharti Enterprises under the government’s Rs 4,115 crore production-linked incentive scheme for telecom and networking products is set to begin production in June under this initiative.
