The company stated that the S1 Pro’s engineering has been revamped, enhancing the ride and setting a new standard with Gen 2 services.
Ola Electric began delivering the S1 Pro Gen 2 on Saturday. The company mentions that the S1 Pro has been significantly re-engineered, enhancing its ride and setting a high standard with its Gen 2 services. Deliveries have commenced in over 100 cities, with more markets to be added soon. Customers can buy either from showrooms or via the Ola App.
The S1 Pro Gen 2 is priced at INR 1,47,499 and boasts numerous features: a revamped battery pack, powertrain, electrical & electronic system, a redesigned frame and suspension, and a mid-drive motor with 11kW peak power. It also features a flat floorboard, a twin-fork front setup, and a mono-shock rear suspension, improving ride quality. The scooter comes in five colours: Jet Black, Matt White, Stellar, Midnight Blue, and Amethyst, and offers a spacious 34-litre boot and sturdy grab rails.
Thanks to these improvements, the S1 Pro’s weight has been reduced by 6 kg, leading to a more extended range of 195 km and a top speed of 120 km/h. The S1 Pro Gen 2 also boasts a 0 to 40 km/h acceleration in just 2.6 seconds, making it India’s fastest electric scooter, according to the company.
An Ola representative expressed their excitement about the S1 Pro Gen 2 launch, highlighting its advanced features and technology. They believe that building on the success of the S1 Pro Gen 1, the new model will significantly contribute to the shift away from internal combustion engines in the segment.
