Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has formed a strategic alliance with Kissan Mobility Pvt. Ltd., a provider of zero-emission logistics, to deploy 500 electric three-wheeler cargo vehicles throughout India for last-mile delivery. This INR 20 Crore initiative, expected to conclude by June 2024, represents a substantial move towards fostering eco-friendly logistics solutions. Omega Seiki Mobility and Kissan Mobility’s partnership will serve various sectors, including E-commerce, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), and Fast-Moving Consumer Durables (FMCD).
Electric three-wheelers are becoming popular in the logistics industry due to their reduced operational costs, government incentives, and increasing focus on environmental sustainability. These vehicles are set to decrease carbon emissions, noise, and air pollution in last-mile delivery and industrial cargo transport. Kamlesh Kaushik, CEO and Founder of Kissan Mobility (OnEv), expressed confidence in OSM’s product lineup and service support as crucial for their expansion. He mentioned that the initial 500 vehicles are just the beginning, with plans to deploy 2500 three-wheelers and a similar number of four-wheelers by March 2025.
