With demand for power semiconductors rising, high voltage Power GaN FETs when combined with innovative packaging technologies come to the rescue. GaN devices are manufactured at Nexperia, using mature mass production techniques which have been proven to meet the highest reliability requirements for devices to achieve AEC-Q101 certification. KYOCERA AVX Components (Salzburg) GmbH, on the other hand, supplies advanced electronic components for the automotive industry.
The partnership between both the companies is to focus on power components with the aim of jointly developing GaN applications for electric vehicles (EV).
