The Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) has issued a tender for 19,000 solar streetlights in the state. This is under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) off-grid and decentralised solar photovoltaic (PV) program.
The scope of the work will include the supply, installation, and commissioning of solar street lights with five years of repair and maintenance. The interested bidders are expected to make an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs 3 million and the last date for submission of bids is 28th May 2020. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on May 29 2020.
Involved in the business for the minimum last three years
The tender states that the tentative quantity is 19,000 solar lights. But this may be increased or decreased by PEDA. To be eligible, the bidder should be involved in the business for the minimum last three years in either LED street lighting projects, solar power projects, or any SL EPC contractor. The annual turnover of the bidder should have Rs 7.1 crore in each financial year during the last three financial years. the bidder should also be profitable in the last financial year ( 2017-18 and 2018- 19).
