Dr Yashodhan Pramod Gokhale has joined JSW Energy as the organisation’s Vice President for its Technology wing. He is now based out of Mumbai, Maharasthra.
“Excited to share that I have taken on a new role as Vice President-Technology at JSW Energy Ltd! My focus will be on Cell Manufacturing and Innovation for Automotive and ESS domain. Looking forward to the opportunities and challenges that come with this new position!,” read a social media post by him.
Previously, he was associated with Battrixx as the company’s Chief Technology Officer. He was in the Pune-based company for approximately 10 months. Starting his professional innings in May 2022, Dr Gokhale has also worked with organisations including Fraunhofer IFAM, Tata Motors, Customized Energy Solutions, Octillion Power Systems, Kalyani Powertrain, and others.
Interestingly, he had started his professional innings in the role of a Research Chemist with Sudarshan Chemical Industries. At the recent EFY Pune Expo, he had noted that the future of powertrain will be a mix of many battery chemisteris.
“MSMEs will play a crucial role in helping the heavyweights push the electric vehicle and battery chemistry innovation in India. Beyond EVs, ebergy storage systems in itself is a big market,” he had said.
He is a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physical Chemistry from Savitribai Phule Pune University, and has also completed Ph.D, Nanoparticle synthesis and Modeling from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg.
