As the company prepares for broader activity across renewable and hybrid energy projects, Kshema Power brings in veteran project specialist Mohan Shanmugam to lead.
Chennai-based Kshema Power has appointed Mohan Shanmugam as its Overall Head of Projects as the company prepares for its next phase of growth in renewable and hybrid energy infrastructure.
Shanmugam has more than 30 years of experience in the power sector across India and the Middle East. His most recent role was Senior Project Director at Al Gihaz Holding in Saudi Arabia, where he oversaw Extra High Voltage transmission and Smart RMU projects valued at more than SAR 3.8 billion. His earlier roles included senior execution positions at Senvion India and Alfanar India, where he worked on wind energy projects.
According to the company, Shanmugam will lead project planning and execution across its portfolio. His responsibilities will include standardising internal project management processes, reviewing staffing models, and monitoring delivery timelines for major contracts. He will also oversee coordination with clients and on-site teams.
Commenting on the appointment, John Gomez, Vice President – HR at Kshema Power, said the company expects Shanmugam’s sector experience to support its project execution framework as activity increases across renewable and hybrid installations.
“Securing a leader of his stature is a tremendous advantage for Kshema Power as we drive forward our ambitious plans for rapid growth in renewable and integrated hybrid power,” said Gomez.
Shanmugam said he aims to strengthen project delivery systems and introduce broader process improvements in line with international standards.
“The opportunity to lead projects for a company so committed to innovation in hybrid systems is deeply motivating,” he said.
Kshema Power has delivered more than 4.5GW of wind projects since its establishment in 1998. It has also installed around 1600km of transmission lines for various state utilities.
The company operates as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) provider for renewable energy projects, covering wind and solar park development, utility-scale installations and transmission and distribution infrastructure.
