With three decades of industry experience, Ruchir Dixit becomes the new Chairperson of IESA. The Executive Council sees a reshuffle, with several industry veterans joining the body.
The India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) has announced the appointment of Ruchir Dixit as its new Chairperson for the financial year 2025–26. This comes alongside the introduction of a refreshed Executive Council.
Dixit brings with him more than 30 years of experience in the global semiconductor and electronic design automation (EDA) industries. He currently serves as Vice President and Country Manager at Siemens EDA India and has previously held key leadership roles at Mentor Graphics.
An alumnus of Wayne State University and the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, Dixit has long been associated with IESA, having served as Vice Chairman prior to this role.
Under his leadership, IESA is expected to play an enhanced role in India’s growing Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector.
Six industry veterans have also joined the Executive Council: Akshay Aggarwal (MediaTek), Hemang Shah (Applied Materials), Pradeep Kumar Vajram (7Rays), Raghu Panicker (Kaynes SemiCon), Sundeep Gupta (Alphawave Semi), and Vivek Tyagi (Analog Devices).
Returning members include Navin Bishnoi as Vice Chairperson, Sanjeev Keskar as Treasurer, and advisors Rajeev Khushu, Veerappan VV, and Ashok Chandak, who continues as IESA President.
According to a report by the Business Standard, Dixit’s appointment is pivotal, as India intensifies its push towards becoming a global hub for semiconductor manufacturing and electronics innovation.
His deep industry insight and strategic experience are expected to provide valuable guidance as the country seeks to scale up its domestic capabilities and attract global investments in the sector.
