Set to drive growth, sustainability, and innovation in India’s fast-evolving consumer durables market, Mukundan Menon takes charge as Voltas’ new Managing Director.
Voltas Limited has named Mr Mukundan Menon as its new Managing Director, effective 1 September 2025, as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in India’s consumer durables market.
Mr Menon joined the company in July 2023, bringing with him over three decades of leadership experience in the home appliances sector. He began as Executive Director and Head of the Room Air Conditioner Business before being elevated to Managing Director Designate in April 2025.
Before joining Voltas, he spent 17 years at Blue Star, where he advanced through senior leadership positions, including Executive Vice President, President, and Chief Operating Officer. In these roles, he oversaw the air conditioning, refrigeration, and export businesses, gaining extensive expertise in managing diverse portfolios and scaling operations.
Since January 2025, Mr Menon also serves as President of the Refrigerator and Air Conditioning Manufacturing Association (RAMA), reflecting his influence and standing within the industry.
As Managing Director, he will focus on expanding Voltas Beko’s market share across refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, and other appliance categories. His priorities include strengthening distribution, improving after-sales service, and embedding sustainability practices in line with global benchmarks. Building consumer trust and reinforcing brand value are also expected to remain central to his leadership approach.
