QBit Semiconductor has recently announced the acquisition of a 60% stake in Singapore-based SinChip Technology Pte. Ltd. from its existing shareholders, officially assuming operational control.
Following the acquisition, SinChip will become part of the QBit Semiconductor group, creating strong synergies with QBit’s existing high-performance SoC platforms. The integration is expected to enhance QBit’s ASIC design capabilities and strengthen its presence in key growth markets, including Edge AI, High-Performance Computing (HPC), optical communications, and automotive electronics, supporting the company’s broader diversification strategy.
Based in Singapore, SinChip specialises in IC logic verification, physical design, and services for the adoption of advanced technologies. With a team of around 130 engineering professionals, the company has extensive expertise in advanced semiconductor process nodes, including 3nm, 5nm, and 7nm. Its experience in high-end ASIC development and successful mass-production deployment has enabled it to build a strong reputation in the semiconductor industry.
