Tuesday, December 10, 2013: Rays Power Experts, which is a renowned global solar power plant development company, has reportedly entered into an agreement for setting up 5 new projects coming down to a total of 15 MW of solar power capacity before March next year. An estimated investment of $27 million will be made for the same.
The projects will be housed primarily in the Delhi and NCR region.
With an ambitious target to accomplish 150 MW of solar power capacity by the end of this financial year, Rays Power Experts has plans to become a prominent player in the solar industry in the country.
Rahul Gupta, director, Rays Power Experts told The Hindu that the company was in the middle of acquiring many more such projects across different verticals of the industry. “Rays Experts is targeting for 250 MW of installed solar power plants producing electricity for more than 5 million households per year,’’ he said.
Reportedly, the company has achieved its target of 29 MW for 11 projects in 2.5 months by end of September 2013. Additionally, over Rs 7500 million have been invested to get to newer targets.
