Realme India has said that it is investing in a complete production line to build TV products and Surface-mount technology (SMT) lines for TV motherboards and will start manufacturing some of its Internet of Things (IoT) products soon. It has also launched its new product strategy called “1+4+N”.
Madhav Sheth, Realme India CEO said in a statement that the company will soon start manufacturing some of our AIOT products in India. It is also investing in a complete production line to build TV products and to set up high-end SMT lines for TV motherboards. He added that this will be a leap in terms of local manufacturing and a real challenge that many other leading brands haven’t been able to take till date.
Expanding its distribution channels to tier-IV and V towns
Sheth also said that the company plans to increase it’s local workforce strength (at the facility) to 10,000 in India, by the end of this year. The new strategy, as per him, will help it further enhance smartphone and AIoT product portfolios. The company is also expanding its distribution channels to tier-IV and V towns and will hire more than 5,000 sales team members.
The strategy works on three foundations. The first is “1 Core”, under which Realme smartphones will be at the core of its AIOT ecosystem. Sheth said in a statement that all the AIOT products will be connected to and managed by Realme smartphones. The second foundation of the strategy is “4 smart hubs”, which has been further divided into four sub-categories–Smart TV, Smart Earphone, Smart Watch, and Smart Speakers. the third foundation is the “N AIOT products ”, under which Realme plans to launch lifestyle products and accessories. This will range from in-car chargers, backpacks, luggage cases, to smart home gadgets.
