Renewable Energy India Expo: REFUsol, Now an advanced energy company, presents upgrade of proven three-phase string inverter series

Monday, September 16,, 2013: REFUsol India, an Advanced Energy company and leader in solar inverter technology, is exhibiting at Renewable Energy India 2013 Expo, taking place September 12-14, 2013 in Greater Noida (Delhi NCR), India. REFUsol/Advanced Energy will display its proven three-phase string inverter series, showcasing a recent design upgrade as well as a new combiner box, designed at Advanced Energy’s local India location, for clustering and monitoring at string level.

One of the highlights of the REFUsol/Advanced Energy showcase is the upgrade of its proven three-phase string inverter series REFUsol 008K – 020K. The soundless and lightweight inverters are upgraded to full power classes and therefore provide a high power density.

The inverters are ideal for rooftop and carport systems from 10 kilowatts (kW) to megawatt-sized parks. Even at low irradiation, they achieve an efficiency of up to 98.2 percent. As a result of these high efficiency levels, convection cooling is all that is needed to dissipate the heat. The integrated data-logger can send all important operating data to the REFUlog internet portal. For visualization and evaluation purposes, data can be transferred via the standard cable or an optional wireless connection using the new REFUconnect radio module.

To increase the efficiency of large-scale photovoltaic (PV) systems, multiple strings can be easily concentrated with the generator connection unit AE StringCombiner, which will also be on display. The unit can concentrate up to 24 strings and connect to the inverter using a single cable. The StringCombiner monitors the PV system and diagnoses errors at string level, and in the event of an error, it protects the connected strings and PV modules from being damaged. The StringCombiner communicates directly with the inverter without additional components and is available in 1000 volt (V) and 1500 V versions.

The REFUsol booth is located in Hall 3, Booth #45.
