Auckland-based Rakon Limited offers high-performance crystal oscillators, OCXOs, OCSOs, TCXOs, VCXOs, XOs and crystal resonators
Specialty electronics distribution company RFMW Ltd. has inked a distribution agreement with Auckland-based GPS crystal and component manufacturer Rakon Limited.
Under the agreement which becomes effective November 6, RFMW is authorized to market and sell Rakon’s portfolio of frequency control and timing solutions.
Rakon offers high-performance crystal oscillators, OCXOs, OCSOs, TCXOs, VCXOs, XOs and crystal resonators. RFMW is a specialized distributor providing customers and suppliers with focused distribution of RF and microwave components as well as specialized component-engineering support.
New agreement enables Rakon to expand its customer base
“We are pleased to welcome RFMW as one of our sales channel partners. Having RFMW as an authorized distributor provides a new window of opportunity. It enables Rakon to reach a wider customer base and extends our reach to accounts where Rakon does not currently have a presence,” stated Hugh Tucker, Global Sales Administration and Marketing Manager at Rakon.
Tucker also confirmed there will be no change in contacts for Rakon’s existing customers. “We continue to have a dedicated and global customer and technical support team who deal with our existing customers and work closely with them in the local markets in which we operate,” Tucker said.
Commenting on the agreement, Steve Takaki, Executive Vice President, RFMW, asserted that the addition of Rakon’s portfolio will offer their customers market leading products achieved through unique proprietary processes, continual R&D, and constant technological advancement.
“Combined with other frequency control and timing technologies, customers will benefit from our product expansion as we move into new markets. RFMW strives to be the ‘go-to’ resource for consultative RF expertise and new-design component selection,” Takaki added.
Rakon’s products enable connectivity for a wide range of applications. Its three core markets are telecommunications, global positioning and space & defence.
