From CERN research to next-gen packaging, RRP Electronics’ four MoUs at SEMICON India 2025 aim to power innovation, cybersecurity, and talent in India’s semiconductor ecosystem.
RRP Electronics has signed four Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) at SEMICON India 2025 to strengthen the country’s semiconductor ecosystem. The agreements, expected to generate revenues of about ₹150 million, will focus on skill development, research, innovation, and cybersecurity.
The outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) firm formalised a partnership with the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR). This collaboration is linked to the high granularity calorimeter (HGCAL) project, part of the upgrade of the compact muon solenoid (CMS) experiment at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN), Geneva. RRP’s advanced OSAT capabilities are expected to play a crucial role in supporting the project’s requirements.
In another deal, the company tied up with Polaron Infotech, a global cybersecurity provider. The partnership seeks to embed security across the semiconductor supply chain, protecting intellectual property, preventing disruptions, and ensuring operational resilience.
To strengthen the talent pipeline, RRP signed an MoU with Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT), Sangli. The partnership will design industry-aligned courses, create semiconductor-focused programmes, and offer practical training. It also promises internships and employment opportunities at RRP Electronics.
The company said this initiative would bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry needs, preparing a future-ready workforce.
The fourth agreement was signed with MONK9 Tech, which will provide advanced packaging technology and infrastructure for RRP’s upcoming projects. The collaboration underlines the company’s commitment to next-generation semiconductor solutions.
With these four agreements, RRP Electronics aims to build a stronger domestic semiconductor ecosystem, combining research, education, technology, and security. The company said the partnerships highlight its role not just as a manufacturer, but as an enabler of innovation and resilience for India’s fast-growing semiconductor sector.
