Samsung has resumed limited manufacturing operations at its Noida plant. It will scale up the production gradually as per a company official. The UP government has permitted limited manufacturing operations.
In a response to a query, Partha Ghosh, Samsung Southwest Asia, head for corporate communications said that the company has received requisite permissions to restart production at its Noida factory. It has started limited operations which will be scaled up over a period of time.

Ghosh added that employee safety and well-being remain the company’s absolute priority. It has ensured that all hygiene and social distancing measures are maintained at the premises, as per government guidelines.
Samsung has also announced phased reopening of its exclusive brand stores, Samsung Smart Cafes, and Samsung Smart Plazas across India in compliance with norms that are effective from 4th May. It has also started pre-booking for its consumer electronics products through its website. It will let consumers buy online and they will get delivery of products from the nearest Samsung Authorised Retailer after the lockdown is lifted.
