Shakti pumps now gets channel partner status

Monday, September 30, 2013: Shakti Pumps is now an authorised channel partner and can participate in projects executed under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission. The company has received a government approval for the same, which entitles it to sell its products directly to customers and claim subsidy from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). Shakti Pumps can now also participate in the solar projects promoted by Maharastra government.

It is worth mentioning here the company in into manufacturing of energy efficient pumps, that consume less power as compared to traditional cast iron pumps. These energy efficient pumps help in cutting down the capital cost due to subsidy and also reduce the operating expenditure. Quite a few states across the country are coming up with solar projects in association with the MNRE. As per the programme, all the projects associated with it are eligible to get 30 per cent subsidy on solar pumps from the Ministry.

Taking a step ahead in going green, the state of Maharastra is also planning to extend a further subsidy of between 30 and 56 per cent to farmers and other approved users. According to a Business Line report, Dinesh Patidar, managing director, Shakti Pumps said the programme initiated by the Government will go a long way in promoting renewable energy and save precious resources.
