Volvo CE will have access to SAMIL’s app and auction platforms to handle its inventory of used construction equipment.
Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL), an online and physical pre-owned marketplace for vehicles and equipment, announced its collaboration with Volvo Construction Equipment (CE) on Tuesday.
As a part of the deal, Volvo CE and its dealers will streamline the management of used construction equipment inventory using SAMIL’s ‘Phygital’ (physical and digital) auction platforms. The platforms include 135+ Automalls across India and online auction websites like cartradeexchange.com and bids.samil.in.
According to the companies’ official statement, this setup will enable Volvo CE to offer competitive exchange deals to customers conveniently. SAMIL will also provide support services such as parking, inspection, valuation, and documentation, ensuring an effortless experience for Volvo CE’s customers.
On the other hand, through this deal, SAMIL’s customers will gain access to a wide selection of pre-owned construction equipment across India, effectively meeting diverse needs. Hence, both companies will assist each other in expanding their business reach and enhancing their reputations.
Dimitrov Krishnan, Managing Director, Volvo CE India, mentioned that the agreement is a significant step in the maturing Indian CE market, one of the signs of which is the growth in the used equipment trade. He is hopeful that the deal will provide a seamless channel for customers and dealers to engage actively in trade-in and sale of used equipment.
He further commented, “SAMIL’s wide network of physical machine stockyards and their robust digital capabilities (Phygital) will support our dealer network enormously in facilitating used product trades.”
