Smarten Power Systems has recently announced the appointment of Ranjit Singh as its Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective August 1, 2026.
Before this position, Singh was the Consultant – Vice President, Operations, where his role was to assist in enhancing manufacturing efficiency, streamline operational processes, and lead the successful transition of Smarten’s in-house battery manufacturing facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. In his new role, he will oversee end-to-end operations, manufacturing, supply chain, quality systems, and strategic execution, while driving operational excellence across existing plants and the company’s upcoming manufacturing facility.
Smarten plans to expand its manufacturing capabilities and product portfolio to meet the growing demand for power backup and renewable energy solutions in India and international markets. Singh almost has 52 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, product development, and operations across the power electronics, telecom power, and renewable energy sectors.
He has worked in leadership positions at companies including Delta Power Solutions India, Benning SMC Power Systems, Ascom India, and Vrinda Nano Technologies.
According to the company, the leadership change is aimed at strengthening operational capabilities and building a scalable manufacturing framework to support Smarten’s next phase of growth.
