Minda Corporation, the flagship company of Spark Minda, has achieved a significant feat by securing a contract worth Rs 750 crore. This contract, received from a prominent OEM, involves the production of advanced battery chargers specifically designed for electric vehicles (EVs).
While the name of the OEM remains undisclosed, the company stated that this order win serves as a testament to Minda Corporation’s unwavering dedication to sustainable mobility and showcases the expansion of its EV offerings.
In the previous financial year, EVs accounted for nearly 20 percent of Minda Corporation’s total orders, highlighting their growing significance. This project will further strengthen Spark Minda’s position and reinforce its reputation as a forward-looking and future-ready organization.
The manufacturing of the battery chargers will take place at Spark Minda’s wholly-owned subsidiary, the Spark Minda Green Mobility Systems facility located in Pune. This cutting-edge facility is already known for manufacturing products for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, off-road vehicles, and the aftermarket. The addition of EV chargers to their production line demonstrates their commitment to providing sustainable transportation solutions.
