The Noida-based renewable energy firm has launched three solar projects across the state of UP.
On Tuesday, SunSource Energy, a provider of solar solutions, announced the completion of three open-access solar power plants in Uttar Pradesh with a combined capacity of 45 MWp.
The projects, spread across 150 acres in Jhansi and Lalitpur districts, will collectively generate 45 MWp. Over their operational lifespan, they are anticipated to produce 1.5 million megawatt-hours (MWh) of solar energy and mitigate approximately 1.4 million tonnes of CO2 emissions.
According to the company’s official statement, power purchase agreements (PPAs) for the entire power capacity have been secured by clients spanning various industries.
It has also stated that the projects will meet the clean energy needs of various clients, including a major Indian media conglomerate, a prominent data center, an educational institution, and leading international beverage firms.
Santanu Guha, CEO of SunSource Energy, stated that with the completion of these projects, their company has strengthened its footprint in Uttar Pradesh. He expressed anticipation of collaborating closely with both industry stakeholders and government entities to advance the state’s initiatives in clean energy.
The company currently operates six open-access projects in the state, including these three, with an additional four projects in development as disclosed on its part. SunSource Energy’s total operational capacity in Uttar Pradesh has approached 100 MWp with the new projects. In the previous year, the firm also unveiled the completion of three solar projects in the Bijnor district within the state.
