Friday, June 20, 2014: Biometrics and ID solutions company Suprema has announced that it has been given product certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The certification received is very important for Suprema’s local partnership with the A-ID Systems, since under the Electronics and Information Technology Goods Order issued by the Indian Department of Electronics and Information Technology, a company required 15 IT products that are in compliance with the Indian safety standards.
According to the announcement by Suprema, the company is the first to receive the BIS certification in the biometric access control and time attendance and the distinction that it shares with the A-ID Systems. According to Sandeep Shetty, CEO of A-ID Systems India, “BIS Certification is a great milestone for us to offer quality solutions to our customers by eliminating cheap and harmful products from our market.”
Further, Suprema was recently features in the Physical Access Control Month that is presented by findBIOMETRICS. The company, in partnership with Entertech Systems, has been putting in efforts to dismantle traditional issues that are associated with biometric access control adoption.
