Planned in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh, Syrma SGS partners with South Korea’s Shinhyup to reportedly build one of India’s largest PCB and CCL manufacturing hubs.
Syrma SGS Technology is set to establish a multi-layer printed circuit board (PCB) and copper-clad laminate (CCL) manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh with an investment of approximately ₹18 billion.
According to a report by the Business Standard, the new facility will be located in Naidupeta. The plant is expected to become operational by 2026–27.
The project will also be developed in collaboration with South Korean company Shinhyup Electronics. The partnership will focus on technology transfer and marketing support, strengthening Syrma SGS’s capabilities in advanced electronics manufacturing.
The report stated that discussions are in the final stages, with the Andhra Pradesh state cabinet likely to approve the proposal soon. The company is also expected to apply for incentives under the central government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for electronics manufacturing.
Additional incentives from the state government are also being considered.
Once fully operational, the Naidupeta facility is projected to add around ₹62 billion to Syrma SGS’s annual revenue, significantly boosting its market presence and production capacity.
This initiative supports India’s broader strategy to deepen domestic electronics manufacturing and reduce dependence on imports. PCBs and CCLs are critical components in a wide range of electronic devices, and building large-scale production capacity is seen as essential for national competitiveness in the global electronics supply chain.
The proposed plant is expected to create substantial employment opportunities and further position Andhra Pradesh as a growing hub for high-tech manufacturing in India.
