Both companies have an agenda to address the growing demand for thermal management components as vehicle electrification accelerates across the domestic automotive sector.
Tata AutoComp Systems Limited has recently entered into a collaboration with Jahwa Electronics to manufacture advanced thermal management solutions for the Indian automotive industry.
The focus of this partnership will be on the local production and supply of low-voltage and high-voltage positive temperature coefficient (PTC) heaters for electric and hybrid vehicles.
The partnership combines Jahwa Electronics’ expertise in thermal technologies and magnetic materials with Tata AutoComp’s broad manufacturing presence and supply chain network in India.
Both companies have an agenda to address the growing demand for thermal management components as vehicle electrification accelerates across the domestic automotive sector.
The joint venture is also expected to position India as a regional manufacturing hub for Jahwa Electronics, enabling the company to strengthen its presence in the rapidly growing EV ecosystem while supporting supply requirements of global and domestic OEMs.
Chanyong Kim, Chief Executive Officer of Jahwa Electronics, said the collaboration offers the company a stable entry point into the Indian market. While emphasising local manufacturing, he added that manufacturing high- and low-voltage heaters locally will help meet the high demand of India’s expanding electric mobility infrastructure.
Tata AutoComp currently has 74 manufacturing facilities worldwide and an independent electric-vehicle components business supplying battery packs, drivetrains, and cooling systems.
