Tata Elxsi, DENSO Robotics Europe, and AAtek Group have launched the ‘Robotics and Automation Innovation Lab’ in Frankfurt, Germany. Inaugurated by executives from the three organizations, the facility is dedicated to advancing robotics automation within the healthcare sector by utilizing their collective expertise. The lab will focus on specialized areas such as personalized medicine, cell culture handling, and diagnostics, providing services in product design and regulatory compliance support.
Situated at Tata Elxsi’s Frankfurt office, the lab is set to function as a research and development hub featuring modular automation demonstrations. It aims to enhance product development speed and simplify maintenance, addressing the rising global demand for automation solutions.
The facility will display robotic applications in cell/tissue culture, diagnostics, and sterilized environments. It will also utilise AI-driven analytics to foster innovations in automated cell culture handling, liquid handling, hospital lab automation, drug discovery, bioprocessing, and diagnostics.
Raghav Yesodha, Director of Healthcare & Life Sciences at Tata Elxsi, highlighted the lab as a pivotal achievement that combines Japanese innovation, German precision, and Tata Elxsi’s med-tech expertise. This collaboration with DENSO’s leadership in robotics and AAtek’s integration skills aims to boost innovation and product development in healthcare automation, helping clients keep pace with market evolution.
Additionally, Tata Elxsi, DENSO, and AAtek are offering a co-creation, testing, and deployment platform for robotic solutions tailored to the healthcare industry’s regulatory and operational requirements. The lab also welcomes researchers and students from the Frankfurt Innovation Center (FIZ) and startups from the Hessen region, promoting broader innovation.
