Model: Eureka EDC-51, Brand: Eureka,Manufacturer: Taiwan Dry Tech Corp,Taiwan

eurekaLaunched in October 2013, the Eureka EDC-51 dry cabinet claims to have better humidity control than other brands. Its multi-porous molecular sieves trap moisture by means of ‘van der Waals’ forces using multiple capillary channels. Its shape memory alloy controls valves to expel moisture from the cabinet and prevent moisture from re-entering.

Key features

  • When power is off, the outer valves get shut, preventing moisture from entering the cabinet. The inner valves remain open to expel moisture

  • Multi-porous molecular sieves can still trap moisture in the cabinet via capillary action

  • Independent from external temperature

  • Fully automatic and silent

  • Capacity : 51 litres

  • Dimensions (cm): 40×44×43.7

  • Average power consumption: 4W

  • Accessories included: 1 adjustable shelf and 1 analogue hygrometer

  • RH range: 25~55 per cent

  • Warranty: 5 years limited warranty

Model: XSD & XSDB series of insulated dry cabinet, Brand: Totech, Manufacturer: Super Dry Totech, USA

totechLaunched in September 2013, this insulated drying cabinet series have a combination of high achievement dryer, heating and thick-walled insulation that enable it to effect a quick drying of moist components and PCBs. The dynamic drying unit of the 5000 series reaches very low humidity values of ≤0.5 % RH and automatically regenerates if necessary. As a result, of an insulated double metal sandwich construction, a precise temperature of 60°C can be reached with very low power consumption. A radial fan and heater supports the drying process and realises an equable temperature and moisture level in the cabinet. The relevant process data is obtained by use of an accurate Rotronic sensor.

Key features

  • Insulation; Interior lighting (optional XSDB)

  • Adjustable legs; Rotronic sensor and data logging

  • Door and RH alarm buzzer; Sensor read out possibility

  • Touchscreen read out possibility

  • Precision sensor, accuracy: ± 0.8%RH, ± 0.3°C

  • Effective capacity: 1190 litre

  • Dry unit: 1 x U-5002 for ≤0.5% RH
