TotalEnergies has signed a 15-year renewable Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Saint-Gobain. The agreement includes an upside sharing mechanism, allowing both companies to benefit from potential market price increases over the contract term.
By signing this contract, TotalEnergies’ Danish Fields Solar farm in Texas will contribute to offsetting 90,000 metric tons of Saint-Gobain’s North American Scope 2 CO2 emissions annually. This farm has a capacity of 720 MW, which will be going to operation in 2024. It is the largest utility-scale operated solar farm in the United States by TotalEnergies.

The signing of upside sharing CPPAs contributes to the objective of profitable growth for our Integrated Power business.”

This renewable energy project is a new milestone on the way to meeting Saint-Gobain’s commitment to reduce scope 1 and 2 CO2 emissions by 33% by 2030 – compared to 2017 – and to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.”
